Y -- INTERIOR/EXTERIOR REPAIRS FOR BEQ'S AT NTTC CORRY STATION, BUILDINGS 1082, 1084 AND 1090, PENSACOLA, FL., SOL N65114-95-R2078. DUE 080895, POC Mary Steely, Contract Specialist, (904) 452-4616. Design-Build Project. This solicitation is unrestricted. This work includes a Source Selection Design/Build contract for the exterior and interior renovation of Bachelor Enlisted Quarters, Buildings 1082, 1084 and 1090. The exterior building repairs shall include minor demolition, painting, repairing and sealing cracked surfaces, tuck-pointing of brick walls and miscellaneous surfaces cleaning efforts. A new standing seam roof shall be installed for each building. A complete interior renovation including new floor, wall and ceiling finishes. The abatement of existing asbestos materials installation of a fire suppression system and upgrade to the plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. Upon award of contract, contractors will prepare a complete set of construction documents ready for construction execution. The drawing and specifications shall be prepared using metric dimensions. Buildings 1082 and 1084 are similar four story concrete frame structures with a brick veneer and 63756 S.F. floor area in each. These two buildings are currently unoccupied. Building 1090 is three-story concrete frame structure with a brick veneer and 32765 S.F. of floor area. The first floor of Buildings 1082 shall be designed for VIP Quarters and permanent party E7-E9 personnel. A 900 S.F. area on the first floor of 1082 will house a laundry facility servicing all Bachelor Quarters at Corry Station. This laundry facility will consist of three 50 pound commercial washers and four 75 pound commercial dryers. Building 1090 will be a BEQ providing berthing for permanent party E1-E6 personnel on all three floors. The post office area on the first floor has recently been renovated. This area will also require new ceiling treatment, new windows and a fire protection sprinkler system. Design solutions for environmental problems within these buildings such as asbestos containing materials, lead containing paint and hazardous materials shall be included. All quarters shall be renovated to adhere to the New Quality of Life Standards for Bachelor Quarters as reflected in specs. The contractor will be selected by source selection procedures. All interested proposers will be provided 35% design as well as supplemental as-built drawings, which will reflect the Government's minimum mandatory requirements. Electronic copies of the technical plans wil be available via modem. The offerors will be evaluated on price and other non-price technical/management related criteria. Technical factors will include design proposal and contract execution, experience and qualifications. Price and technical factors are equal in value. Cost range is between $5 Million and $10 Million. Award may be made from initial proposals. Option provisions will be included that will allow the Government to excercise two options within 365 calendar days after award of base proposal. However, award of either these options is contingent upon funding. The only site visit and pre-proposal conference is scheduled for 25 July 1995 at 9:00 A.M. Central Time. The date for receipt of proposals is scheduled for 08 August 1995 at 1:00 P.M. Central Time. There is a $450.00 (Non-refundable) fee per set of plans and specs.
