SOL N00140-95-Q-2949 SYN 412 POC Contact Point, Lori Debenedictis, (215)697-9633, Contracting Officer, Jim Swizewski, (215)697-9630 The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia, intends to procure ninety-six (96) each '' hand valves, sixty-four (64) each 1'' hand valves, and thirty-two (32) each 1'' check valves under a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Detachment Boston. The Government intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, ''Only One Responsible Source,'' with Allen Aircraft Products, Inc., Ravenna, OH and Trans Aero, Inc., Woodbury, NY since they are the only manufacturers that possess the technical data necessary to manufacture the required components that will be used to upgrade the existing engine fuel system, CRAFTALT 195K, aboard various Landing Craft Air Cushioned (LCAC) Naval Crafts. Only these specific valves have been incorporated throughout the engine fuel system by the original Textron Marine System (TMS) design and are approved and refernced in NAVSEA drawing number 261-6518188. All responsible sources may submit concise documentation as to their ability to supply the required hand valves as well as financial and technical information which shall be considered equally by FISC Norfolk Det Philadelphia. If no affirmative written responses advantageous to the Navy are received within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice, a request for quotation will be issued to Allen Aircraft Products, Inc. and Trans Aero, Inc. Note, no contract award will be made on the basis of information received to this notice. Further, the Navy WILL NOT PAY for any information provided.
