Government-Owned Vessel ''RACCOON'': BID SCHEDULE I - DEFINITE ITEMS.
(1) Docking & Berthing, (2) Sea Chests & Valves, (3) Stern & Strut
Bearings and Shaft Condition Survey, (4) Zincs/Propeller Shaft Nut
Covers, (5) Hydrostatic Test of Air Tank, (6) Potable Water System, (7)
Sandblast & Paint Entire Hull, (8) Misc. Items: (a) Sandblast & Paint
Trunk and Superstructure, (b) Prepare & Paint Knuckleboom Crane and
Cab, (c) Modify Paint Locker, Fwd. Deck, (d) Rebuild two (2) each
Caterpillar Model D353 Marine Propulsion Units, (e) Rebuild two (2)
each Twin disk Model 530M (Omega) Reduction Gears, (f) Repair Exhaust
Hangers & Bonnet/Flange Connection, (g) Install Fixed CO2 Fire
Suppression System in Exhaust Stacks, (h) Install Government Furnished
Microphor Tank, (i) Repair Plumbing/Raw Water on Stbd. Main Engine,
(j) Pressure Test Keel Coolers, (k) Replace Pipe on Bow Rail, (l)

- INDEFINITE ITEMS. (9) Additional Lay Days, (10) Hull Plate
Replacement, (11) Stern Glands, (12) Propellers, (13) Propeller Shafts,
(14) Rudder Shaft Bearings, (15) Journeyman Mechanic Labor, (16) Misc.
Steel Work, (17) Welding. Performance Time will be sixty (60) calendar
days after receipt of the Vessel. Successful Bidder shall have dry dock
facility available within the San Francisco Bay Area. All Contractors
MUST hold or be willing to execute a Master Agreement for Repair and
Alteration of Vessels with the U.S. Army Engineer District, SF, COE.
All interested Contractors are reminded that the Successful Contractor
will be expected to place/subcontract to the maximum practicable
extent with Small and Disadvantaged Businesses in accordance with the
Provisions and Public Law 95-107. Small and Disadvantaged Businesses
are encouraged to participate as Prime Contractors or as members of
Joint Ventures with other Small and Disadvantaged Businesses. Requests
for Plans/Specifications and Drawings of Solicitation No.
DACW07-95-B-0012 shall be in writing (or faxing request(s), Fax No.
(415)744-3316 to the attention of O. R. Rosales) within fifteen (15)
days from the date of this Announcement. NOTE: There will be one (1)
Scheduled Site Visit to acquaint Bidders with the Vessel's areas and
work to be performed. Advance notice from those who wish to attend is
requested. The Date/Time and Place of Site Visit: August 15, 1995
(Tuesday), 1000 (10:00 A.M. Pacific Standard Time) at the U.S. Army
Engineer District, SF, COE, Base yard, 2100 Bridgeway, Sausalito,
