Provide onsite services in the field of Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist at the Federal Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky. This is considered a contractual agreement and not a presonnel appointment. The estimated issue date of this solicitation is July 15, 1995. The contractor will provide medical assistant services in the clinical laboratory. Assist in tracking of clinical laboratory specimens, including logging specimens in and time stamping requests, report distribution, and organizing call-outs. Direct patients in the proper collection procedures for specimens, and any special requirements for specific tests. Perform electrocardiograms on outpatients as requested by members of the medical staff. Services will consist of the following schedule: five sessions per week, a session being defined as six (6) hours in length. The anticipated period of performance is from date of award through September 30, 1996. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. This requirement is not set aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Code is 8099.
