Branch intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the
acquisition of 1 each quadrupole mass spectrometer system. The
following characteristics and capabilities are: 3/4 inch diameter
quadrupole rods, a 1 to 500 atomic mass unit (amu) mass range, positive
and negative ion detection, programmable pole bias up to + or - 200
VDC, adjustable, mass stability drift less than 0.1 amu in 8 hours,
resolution of 0.2 amu at 219 amu, conversion dynode/channeltron
electron multiplier detector, quadrupole and multiplier must be mounted
on either a 6 or 8 inch conflat flange, RF/DC Quadrupole Power Supply
with connecting cables to Quadrupole not to exceed 3 feet in length,
quadrupole control unit, all of the necessary cables to connect control
electronics to mass spectrometer and 115 VAC, 60 Hz operation.

opending date is on or about 28 Jul 95. All responsible sources may
