Research Parkway, Orlando, FL 32826-3275 17. V-The purpose of this
notice is to solicit information as to the availability of potential
sources that can provide services to relocate the F-14D/B Aircrew
Trainer Suite from NAS Miramar, CA to NAS Oceana, VA. The acquisition
will require the relocation of one F-14D Mission Flight Trainer with
thirty (30) foot dome, and options for a F-14B Weapon Trainer, with
Tactical Environmental System's and Debrief Station. The period of
performance for the acquisition will be 18 months; i.e. the time from
disassembly of the first Trainer to the Ready for Training (RFT) date
of the last system relocated shall be 18 months. Firms currently
processing the necessary organization, experience, accounting and
operational controls and technical skills, or the ability to obtain
them are to submit the following information in original and one copy
to the Contracting Officer indicated, not later than 15 days from the
date of this notice. No telephonic messages will be accepted. All
respondents must provide the following written information: (1) State
whether company is a large small, or small disadvantaged business. (2)
Small, small and small disadvantaged businesses or certified 8(a)
businesses must indicate their intent to pursue this requirement as
either a prime or a subcontract. Standard Industrial Code applicable to
this action is 8711. (3) Identify experience, performance and
capability to perform in-line distortion correction on, and operation
and alignment of the ESIG-500 Image Generation system, and modify
ESIG-500 visual system software to calibrate and align McDonnell
Douglas Training Systems Laser Target Projectors, EIS CRT Projectors,
and GE Talaria MLV/SLV Background, Inset and Color Target Projectors.
(4) Identify experience, performance and capability on Visual Systems
Domes for removal of calibration points and determination and
installation of new calibration points. (5) Identify experience,
performance and capability to disassemble, reassemble, ad design and
install new surface to replace display screens for 30 and 40 foot
spherical domes. (6) Identify experience performance and capability to
operate, troubleshoot and repair Encore 32/67 and RSX multinode
computer systems, Fokker control loader systems, McDonnell Training
Systems Artificial RADAR Image Generation Systems (ARIGS), and SBS
RADAR Simulation Systems, (7) Identify capability to align Fokker
control loader systems. (8) Identify experience, performance and
capability to modify trainers and/or facilities t9 adapt to differing
facility configurations. (9) Identify experience, performance and
capability to modify visual system domes and cockpit support structures
to conform to pilot design eye point; requirement may exist to use
existing domes at receiving site. (10) Identify capability, experience
and performance with FORTRAN( C( and Encore Assembly Languages, as
well as MPX and UNIX operating systems. The information provided should
pertain to this synopsis only. Preliminary information and a Draft RFP
for this procurement will be posted on the STRICOM Industry Academia
(SIA) Electronic bulletin Board for review in the July 1995 timeframe.
The information contained herein is for information purposes only and

utilize the submitted information in finalizing the acquisition
strategy for a potential solicitation. Those interested should respond
