The Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Space, Communications and Sensors (SCS) is planning to execute a sole source contract to Lockheed-Martin of Orlando, Florida, for the production of twelve (12) with an option of six (6) Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) Weapon Replaceable Assembly (WRA) Operational Test Program Sets (OTPSs) and associated spares. These WRA TPSs will be manufactured in accordance with the JTIDS drawing package of which Lockheed-Martin is the only known qualified source. The WRA TPSs are urgently needed to overcome current operational shortages and to support upcoming fleet deployments. To successfully execute this contract, the manufacturer must have access to a Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) for JTIDS and have the personnel, facilities, and COMSEC accounts necessary to operate KGV-8B/KYK13 communication security equipment. The contractor will also be required to provide engineering support services necessary to assist installation and troubleshooting of these TPSs for Navy ships and shore sites.
