The Operational Contracting Division, Commodities Branch intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the aquisition of 1 each Femtosecond Modelocked Titanium Sapphire Laser with Argon Ion Laser Pump. The intergrated system will provide a variable pulsewidth in the 0.1 - 0.2, 1 - 2, and 40 picosecond regime and be mechanically tunable from 720 to 980 nm wavelengths. Must have up to 500 mW average power at 800 nm, 270 mW at 720 nm and 100 mW at 980 nm. Up to 50 KW peak power. Power drift must be less than 5% in any two hour period after warm-up, with crystal cooling water temperature maintained within 0.1 degree. Noise must be under a level of 2%. The system will be upgradable to 10 MW peak power in the future. The Femtosecond Modelocked Ti: Sapphire Laser System includes: pump optics, sets of cavity optics, and microprocessor controlled electronics, with a maximum size of 109 x 38 x 19 cm. The Argon Ion Laser Pump System includes autofill gas pressure control, calibrated internal power monitor, computer interface, current and light regulation modes, water hoses, multi/single line operation, and active beam stabilization.
