The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to enter into negotiations on an other-than-full-and-open basis with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace (MDA), St. Louis, Mo., for one reconfigurable Interactive Weapons Interface Workstation & Simulator. Hardware maintenance support, onsite setup and installation, two days of training, and one lot of commercial user and technical manuals are included. Only MDA can provide these items because the workstation/simulator and F18 aircraft software was designed and developed by MDA. MDA has proprietary rights to the F18 simulation software and workstation/simulator data. Responses to this intent to solicit, other than MDA, should be submitted in accordance with CBD Note 22.
