TERMINAL SET (CSDTS) POC Bill Van Houten, 02-21, 703-602-0831. Synopsis
no. 40. The Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Space, Communications
and Sensors (SCS) is soliciting for all interested sources in the
production and logistical support of the next generation Link-11 data
terminal set, which is now referred to as the Common Shipboard Data
Terminal Set (CSDTS). The anticipated CSDTS production quantity will be
approximately 200 - 300 systems, over a period of five years. The CSDTS
performance requirements will include: (1) MIL-STD-188-203-1A
operations for Tactical Digital Information Links (TADIL-A), (2) Single
Tone capabilities, (3) Multi-Frequency Link (MFL) operations of four
frequencies, (4) digital capabilities for satellite or wireline
operations, (5) Dual net controller capabilities, and (6) embedded link
quality analysis functions, as well as other customary tactical data
link functions. A copy of the draft performance specification should be
available next month for the review and comment by interested sources.
In response to this announcement, interested sources should reference
this Synopsis No.40 and should provide detailed information on both
their systems engineering experiences with tactical data links and
their production, test, and logistical support capabilities with
comparable data terminal sets. The information provided should identify
specific programs and equipment and list contracts under which work was
performed including the name and mailing address of contracting
officers. Interested firms should also indicate their size, large
business, small business (SB), small disadvantaged business (SDB), or
8(a). The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3663. All
SB's and SDB's should provide proof of, or eligibility for, facility
and personnel clearances to manage KG-40 COMSEC equipment and
classified information up to and including SECRET. Please send
