Location: Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL 61299-5000, building 160. Furnish all plant, labor, equipment and material for performing all Operations in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications for the hydroplant turbine renovations. Work includes upgrading turbine generators. Base bid will include two (2) turbine-generators with three (3) option Line Items with two (2) turbine-generators each for a total possible contract of eight (8) turbine-generators to be upgraded. Work shall be performed in independent Phases as approved by the Contracting Officer. The principal features are as follows: 1. Runner design based on engineering data from physical models, prototypes, and computer generated hydraulic analysis. 2. Manufacture of two (2) stainless steel runners per International standard (ISO) specifications. 3. Disassemble two (2) turbine-generators. 4. Complete inspection of all major components. 5. Report of condition of all major components. 6. Detailed component and assembly drawings and design submittals. 7. Shaft evaluation and replacement of two (2) shafts. 8. Wicket gate evaluation and reconditioning or replacement. 9. Linkage replacement, including stainless steel pins and greaseless bushings. 10. Bearing reconditioning or replacement. 11. Miscellaneous turbine component reconditioning or replacement. 12. One (1) generator rewind. 13. Assemble two (2) turbine-generators. 14. Conduct system inspections. 15. Startup testing of two (2) turbine generators. Estimated magnitude between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Type of KT: Firm-fixed price construction. Duration of contract period: Base:360 calendar days, EA option 5 months after contractors receipt of notice to proceed.
