Specialist, 817-334-5061. This is a two-step sealed bidding project;
step one will consist of an evaluation of the offeror's technical
design for the renovation of the Environmental Laboratory HVAC system
and step two will consist of sealed bidding procedures from offerors
whose design is determined technically qualified in step one. The
ventiliation exhaust system will be connected to nine existing fume
hoods encompassing eight rooms. Fume hoods will be retrofitted to
accommodate sash sensors, airflow monitors and low flow alarms. The
exhaust system shall have tandem exhaust fans for redundancy and to
provide for some flexibility in varying exhaust flows. Estimated value:
$100,000.00 to $250,000.00. Drawings will be bound in the
specifications and can be purchased at the rate of $25.00 per copy. NO
EXPRESS MAIL PROCEDURES WILL BE UTILIZED ON INITIAL MAILINGS OF PLANS
AND SPECS. Requests by mail must include payment in the applicable
amount by company check or money order made payable to: F&A Officer,
USAED FTW and sent to: USCE, Attn: Room 13A42, P.O. Box 17300, Fort
Worth, TX 76102-0300. Requests in person may be paid by cash. No refund
will be made and materials need not be returned. If project is
cancelled or no award is made, cost of plans and specifications will be
refunded only on written request. Solicitation to be issued on or about
28 Jun 95. Bid Opening 28 Jul 95. Duration of contract period is 150
days. Bids from all responsible sources will be considered. Standard
