Effective 1 July 1995, the U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command (USASSDC) will issue solicitations expected to exceed $1M on 3.5'' computer disks in WordPerfect Version 5.1 for Windows. If a potential offeror does not wish to accept solicitations on computer disks, a hard copy of the solicitation must be requested in writing. Please ensure that your request for a copy of solicitation indicates whether a hard copy document is requested or if a computer disk is acceptable. Further, USASSDC will request that proposal submission in response to its solicitations be provided on 3.5'' computer disks in WordPerfect Version 5.1 for Windows format. If all proposal documents cannot be provided on disks, offerors are requested, where possible, to provide at least the cost proposal on computer disks. The cost proposal should be provided in LOTUS 1-2-3 format. Along with the computer disk, all proposers will provide one (1) hard copy of their entire proposal submission. Section L of each solicitation will provide specific information regarding the number of hard copies and/or computer disks of proposals which may be required, if more than one copy is necessary. Where applicable, each solicitation will be individually announced in the CBD and the assigned Contract Specialist will be identified in each announcement. NOTE that no potential offeror will be penalized for selecting a hard copy over computer disks in either requesting solicitations or in submitting proposals.
