The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for the research and development of two (2) designs of a new waveform that will operate in the 1,030 and 1,090 MHZ frequencies within the bandwidth of the Mark XII IFF system. The period of performance for this requirement will be five (5) months after contract award. The requirement will have two (2) options which will be for the following: 1) detailed design and analysis of alternative wave forms and/or modes leading to conclusions and recommendations and 2) technical assistance in the design and fabrication of flyable brass board demonstration hardware. The period of performance for Option I is seven (7) months after exercise of options. For Option II the period of performance is five (5) months from exercise of option.
