Market survey concluded only one source can meet the Government's requirement as equipment must interface with existing Macintosh computers (approximately fifty-four), associated software and be of a specific configuration for educational purposes. Computer type and configuration is as follows: Macintosh LC 580, 66/33 mhz 68LCO40 microprocessor, 8MB RAM, 500MB hard disk drive, internal AppleSuperDrive 1.4MB floppy disk drive reads and writes Macintosh, Windows, MS-DOS, OS/2 and ProDos files, built- in 14'' color display (11.9''VIS), 640X480 pixel resolution, double-speed CD- Rom drive, stereo speakers/microphone, keyboard, mouse, backup system software, secondary bundle software and manuals, Macintosh LC-compatible Processor-Direct slot, I/O communications slot, and Video In and Out slots.
