DAHA18-95-B-0003. Due 081695. Contact Point, Mike Robinson,
410/278-8475, Contracting Officer. Scope of work consists of, but not
limited to, furnishing all plant, materials, labor, equipment and
transportation necessary to replace No. 2 fuel oil heating service with
natural gas service for the Maryland Air National Guard. Base bid
consists of removal of 23 underground fuel storage tanks and
replacement of existing fuel oil burners, and boilers with gas fired
equipment, as indicated. Additional work involves the installation of
one below grade vaulted storage, three above ground storage tanks;
construction of a new vehicle fueling depot; and the installation of 4
new oil/water separator systems. Installation of all related
appurtenances and associated site restorage is included as part of base
bid. Bid additive number 1 is installation of a complete canopy system
located at the new fueling depot; and bid additive 2 is installation
of a 8 foot by 10 foot kiosk at the new fueling depot. Project is
located at Martin State Airport, 2701 Eastern Boulevard, Baltimore,
Maryland 21220-2899. The performance start date is o/a 10/03/95.
Performance period is 150 calendar days after receipt of notice to
proceed. Estimated magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and
$1,000,000. Interested concerns should as early as possible, but not
later than 15 calendar days after publication of this notice, indicate
interest in bidding on this project furnish evidence of capability to
perform including references for similar work with contract numbers,
points of contact, and telephone numbers, and if appropriate positive
statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically
disadvantaged business concern. In addition, dollar amount of current
construction bonding capability is required. The Contracting Officer
will utilize the information received to make a decision to issue this
solicitation as set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) or as
``Unrestricted'' without further notice. Therefore, replies to this
notice are requested from all interested business concerns as well as
from SDB concerns. Replies must indicate the firm's size status such as
large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, or 8(a).
The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1799. The
applicable small business size standard including affiliates is no more
than $7 million average annual revenue for the previous three years.
One complete bid package, to include one full set of drawings and
specifications will be furnished upon request to eligible and qualified
businesses with payment of non-refundable charge of $60.00. Make check
payable to the ``Maryland Air National Guard.'' Please specify
solicitation number DAHA18-95-B-0003 when ordering. No telephone
