66 -- REAL TIME, ON-THE-FLY (OTF), DIFFERENTIAL GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM SOL DACW21-95-B-0060 DUE 072195 POC Kathleen Achord, Contract Specialist, (912) 652-5169, or Shirley M. Proposed procurement of two (2) Real Time, On-The-Fly (OTF), Differential Global Positioning Systems (DGPS) for field positioning of boreholes for Site Characteristics and Analysis Penetrometer System (SCAPS) and offshore jack-up barge. These systems must be capable of real time horizontal and vertical positioning of borehole locations within five (5) centimeters. The systems must be capable of interfacing with and being controlled by the OTF software developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Topographic Engineering Center (TEC). The systems must have a differential correction data link range of 15 miles for the SCAPS equipment and 25 miles for the barge. It is estimated that the solicitation will be issued on 21 July 1995. Only written requests for the plans and specifications will be accepted. Required bid package can be obtained from the Savannah District. (0157)
