Ward, (801) 524-5248, Contracting Officer The work is situated in Utah and Wasatch counties approximately 40 miles east of Spanish Fork, Utah. The principal components of the work to be performed include the following: Demolishing and removing all existing reinforced concrete, steel pipe, rubber waterstop, shotcrete rebound, backfill grout spillage, and formwork in the Strawberry Tunnel between Sta. 74+13.47, P.T. Sta. 0+37.70 connecting tunnel; and Sta. 74+13.47 and Sta. 74+85; furnishing and placing concrete for the tunnel turnout; furnishing and placing backfill grout behind the tunnel turnout; constructing a 3-inch power and control hole and a 30-inch ventilation hole; furnishing and installing one 30-inch clamshell gate; furnishing and installing steel and stainless steel piping, and valves; furnishing and installing one ultrasonic flowmeter; furnishing and installing power, controls, and telemetry from the Strawberry Tunnel Turnout Structure to the existing control house; furnishing and installing a new control board and associated electrical equipment in the Strawberry Tunnel Turnout Structure to the clamshell valve and the butterfly valve; and removing lining and backfilling existing air vent shaft at Sta. 74+55. Completion dates of the Syar Tunnel-Strawberry Turnout are Part 1: April 1, 1996 and Part 2: June 1, 1996. COPIES OF SOLICITATIONS ARE $12.00 EACH.
