Medical Specialist Services: Perform General Dentistry Services at the
Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio. The contractor
will be required to perform routine dental testing and examination as
well as diagnosis and treatment of any general dental disorders. This
includes but is not limited to restorative procedures, provision of
fixed and removable prosthetic devices, preventive dental procedures,
endodontic therapy, osseointegrated dental implant restoration,
assisting of surgeons with microvascular and microneural repair,
coordinating the management and providing prophylactic, therapeutic and
follow-up care of head and neck irradiation patients including
evaluation and management of xerostomia, mucositis and other tissue
responses to irradiation, development and conduct of basic and clinical
dental research, and any other examinations and dental treatment
procedures of a hospital general dental routine. The general dental
services is for 0.95 FTE. The definition of FTE: a 0.95 full-time
equivalent (FTE) is defined as a contractor's employee working 38 hours
per week. A contractor's employee must be present at the VA facility
and must be actually performing the required services for the period
specified in the contract. The contract base period is for one year,
with the option to extend 2 years. Interested party may request, in
