This procurement is for the maintenance of a Cray-2 computer system for 12 months. This is a sole source procurement to Cray Research, Inc., Calverton, MD as Cray is the original manufacturer and developer of the system, including the source code for the system. Cray has proprietary rights over the source code. Thus, no other vendor would be able to keep the Cray equipment fully operational. This procurement will result in a modification to an existing contract with Cray. All responsible sources may submit a bid or proposal which will be considered by the Agency.
