Closing agent to perform real estate sales closing service for one- to -four family properties owned or held by the Department of Housing and Urban Developmernt in the northern third of Alabama, which includes the major metropolitan areas of Huntsville, Gadsden, and Florence. Services include, but are not limited to: coordinating closing date with interested parties; preparation of deed, settlement statement, and, if applicable, note and mortgage; representing HUD at closing; and forwarding sales proceeds and documents after closing. To qualify for award, the contractor must submit acceptable documentation clearly demonstrating its experience and illustrating its capacity to provide the services. RFP 5-95-062 proposed issuance date June 21, 1995. This is a one-year contract with extension options, total term not to exceed three years.
