Brightseat Road, Landover, MD 20785 D -- MAINTENANCE FOR CRS AND COPYRIGHT IMAGING SYSTEMS SOL IN95-24 POC
Katherine M. Phillips, Contracting Officer, (202) 707-0400. The Library
of Congress intends to negotiate with IA Corporation, Emeryville, CA
for maintenance services for two networked, optical-disk-based imaging
systems which support the Congressional Research Service (CRS) and the
Copyright Office at the Library. The CRS optical-disk-based system
supports the Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) application,
a public literature current awareness service provided by CRS to
Congress, and supports digital image input, storage, retrieval, and
print functions used to respond to congressional requests. The
Copyright optical-disk-based system supports scanning of the
approximately 700,000 applications for copyright claims registration
that are received yearly by the Copyright Office and provides for image
storage and output in the form of Certificates provided to applicants.
Imaging workstations in Copyright provide for searching, retrieving,
viewing, and requesting prints of the registration images. Both systems
were custom-developed and provided to the Library by IA Corporation
under prior contracts. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. SEE NOTE
