A - The National Center for Education Statistics of the Department of Education solicits research proposals for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Validation Studies. Teh successful offeror will create a validation study panel, hold technical reviews, review NAEP plans, and conduct focused studies on the psychometric content and sampling issues of NAEP. NAEP is a Congressionally mandated survey which reports on the educational achievement of American students and provides accurate and useful information to parents, educators, and policy makers at the national, state, and local levels. It is anticipated that the RFP will be ready for release on or about June 19, 1995 and closing date is July 20, 1995. Request for solicitation may be made by telephone, mail, telegram, or in person.
