Facilities Division (SFD) of the Administrative Office of the United
States Courts (AOUSC) is in the process of developing the final version
of the Guide Specifications for Modification/Installation of Audio
Systems in United States Courthouses (Guide Specifications).
Accordingly, by this Request for Information (RFI), the AOUSC/SFD
invites your review and comment of the subject Guide Specifications.
Please note that the document only addresses the basic sound
amplification requirements in a typical Courtroom and provides
functional cost effective design guidance to sound system designers.
The AOUSC/SFD wants to survey the commercial marketplace to ensure its
programmatic and technology goals are met by the best available sound
amplification equipment/product.SFD is seeking information for
planning purposes only and no solicitation will result from this
announcement. It is requested that this information be submitted no
later than Monday, June 26, 1995, and should be specific and precise.
Additional informational brochures or user manuals are welcome,
however, materials submitted will not be returned. The AOUSC does not
intend to respond to interested parties submitting information in
response to this RFP, however, the AOUSC reserves the right to contact
interested parties for the purposes of seeking clarifications or
additional information. The AOUSC will not assume any expenses incurred
by any of the respondents to this RFI. Interested parties should
