Boyer, 919/541-3537. Martin Marietta intends to procure a single
comprehensive Unix-server based Enterprise-wide Problem Management
(EPM) software package. The software will provide a centralized process
for Martin Marietta internal organizations to effectively collect,
retrieve, track and manage information regarding events and customer
trouble calls. This software package shall be a Commercial Off The
Shelf (COTS) product which allows the user to fully customize the
software to the applications by defining fields, screens, reports, etc.
This software must be capable of full integration with the existing
computing environment. A Unix server will act as the EPM application
server. The server will be a RISC/UNIX computer with Oracle and the
successful vendor's Problem Management software installed, configured
and running. Users will communicate with the server via TCP/IP from
native S-Windows, MS-Windows, and VT-100 workstations. Martin Marietta
will provide the Unix server, Oracle sotware and TCP/IP connectivity
requirements. The initial procurement is for appoximately 25-30 users
with options to purchase up to approximately 400 users. The successful
vendor shall provide full software support and maintenance. User
training will also be required. An onsite demonstration that proves the
software's capability to operate effectively with the applications
within the existing computing environment will be required of the
potential vendor after proposal submission and prior to contract award.
Vendor must also provide verifiable past experience with projects of
similar size, scope and complexity. All inquiries regarding this
procurement must be directed to the Martin Marietta Procurement
Department. Prospective bidders are requested to contact the buyer for
a complete solicitation package including the technical specifications
and the terms and conditions. Telephone requests will not be
considered. Requests for the RFP received after RFP issue date will not
constitute a proposal due date extension. Approximate RFP issue date is
June 20, 1995 with an approximate proposal due date of July 13, 1995.
Approximate contract award date is 9/20/95. All responsible sources may
request a solicitation package and submit a proposal which shall be
