Scope of work consists of repairing the existing damaged fire sprinkler/detection system in building 153, to conform to NFPA and AF criteria for warehouse operations. The system shall be interconnected to the Base Fire Department Alarm Room and shall have an indicator panel near the warehouse entrance. Work shall correct deficiencies in piping, valves, controls, detectors, sprinkler heads, etc. Approximate warehouse area is 9800 SF. The SIC Code is 1731. Magnitude of construction is $100,000 to $250,000. Project performance period is 45 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued o/a 08 Aug 95. Dates are for estimating purposes only and may be revised as indicated in the IFB. The proposed contract listed here is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, but not later than 15 calendar days from the publication date of this notice indicate interest in this acquisition by providing to the Contracting Officer above, written evidence of capability to perform and a written Certification of Eligibility as a small, socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. If adequate interest and evidence is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will then be issued on an unrestricted basis to large and small business concerns, as well as SDB concerns.
