Z -- ASBESTOS ENCASEMENT SOL IFB 664-51-95:GO DUE 072095 POC Contact Point, Tom Olson, (619)552-7593, Contracting Officer, Gerald Olliges, (619)552-7491 The VA Medical Center - San Diego, has a requirement to have an asbestos encasement system installed over existing asbestos fireproofing on structural steel members and other structural elements and on designated concrete ceiling slabs in the basement of the Medical Center. The work is to be done in phases and each phase work area is to be completed within a 62 hours time frame - from 4:30pm on a Friday to 7:00am on the following Monday. During this time period all prep work, application of the encasement system and testing and certification of the decontamination of the work area must be completed so that VA personnel can return to work in those areas as of 7:00am on Monday mornings.
