This project is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. The work includes the construction of a 78,000 sf one story strutural steel, masonry and concrete building with metal siding. Other work includes site utilities, grading, landscaping, parking, and other related work. The building will include engine test cells, control rooms, chemical and other laboratory and test rooms, computer room and offices. This project includes the construction and/or installation of highly specialized and complex mechanical and electrical systems, including high pressure, high temperature compressed air systems, fuel air tempering systems, high temperature exhaust systems, and fuel storage tanks and pumps. Technical proposals will be required and offerors will be evaluated on price and the following other non-priced factors: Work Plan, Project Staffing, Specialized Work and Past Performance. The date for issuance of plans and specifications is 14 June 1995. The date for receipt of proposals is 18 July 1995. The tentative date for site visit and preposals is 28 June 1995. The estimated construction cost exceeds $10,000,000. A non-refundable charge of $225.00 per solicitation package is required and checks should be made payable to the Department of the Treasury c/o EFA Chesapeake.
