The system is intended for use in the determination of compliance to existing Environmental Protection Agency radionuclide emission standards. The required system shall be used to monitor the air exhausted from a building used for radiological work and shall consist of air velocity sensing probes, isokenetic sampling nozzels and collection manifolds, sample controller, automatic control valves, vacuum pumps, instruments, displays, alarms, etc., necessary to withdraw, under isokenetic flow conditions, a highly representative sample of air from a stack (or duct) for analysis by radiation monitoring equipment. The velocity sensors, sampling nozzels, and monitoring equipment shall be mounted in an instrumentation enclosure in close proximity to the stacks (or ducts). The system shall be automated such that once the system is in operation, a minimum of operator intervention will be required. Required system to be manufactured in accordance with specifications contained within solicitation document. On-site operator personnel training to be conducted (three 8-hour days minimum). Inspection at origin, acceptance at destination, FOB Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. Delivery Schedule is 60 days after contract award. Note 9 applies.
