The objective of this action is to redesign, fabricate and install the material feeder/precooler and collection systems of the current Government-owned Liquid Carbonic Nitro Grind Model LPN-6M Systems grinding mill located at ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. The current solvent based process used for manufacturing the Magnesium-Teflon family of pyrotechnic compositions is hazardous due to personnel exposure and ignition potential. It is inefficient due to time consuming mixing and curing cycles. The process results in hazardous waste generation and the emission of Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) to the atmosphere. Design drawings and final ''as built'' drawings will also be required. (0146)
