The Human Systems Program Office/Life Support Systems Division (HSC/YAS), Brooks AFB, TX has a requirement to obtain additional Active Noise Reduction (ANR) units for the F-22 System Program Office (SPO) to support their test program. The modification has been determined to be within the intent and scope of the basic contract, F33657-90-C-0078 with BOSE Corporation. This announcement publicizes the intent to award this effort as sole source. This effort will increase the number of ANR units to be delivered under SubCLIN 0020AF, ''HGU-55/P Helmet Version for F-22 - Production Option 1'' from 15 to 45, an increase of 30 units. The HSC has established an Ombudsman to address a firm's concerns on a non-attribution basis. Potential offerors are to exhaust all avenues within the contracting and program chain as the Ombudsman is not meant to be a substitute for actual program personnel.
