acquisition requires the furnishing and installing of an Ultraviolet
Disinfection System (UVS) to be used at the Sewage Treatment Plant at
Anniston Army Depot for final effluent treatment. The UVS will replace
the current chlorination process. The system must fit within an open
grass area of 10' Width X 25' Long. Contractor shall be responsible for
all concrete work (concrete pad), plumbing, etc. System must connect to
existing piping. System shall be designed to treat an average daily
flow of 620,000 gallons per day and a peak flow of 800,000 gallons per
day. UVS shall be designed/installed to allow gravity flow into
channel. UVS shall be designed to adequately treat effluent with a
maximum exposure time of 6-10 seconds to achieve reduction in micro
organisms below these requirements: Effluent Characterisitics (Fecal
Coliform-FEC) and Discharge Limitations (Daily Maximum and Number
colonies per 100 ml sample (50)). The delivery time is within 90 days
