Joint field trial of biological detection, sampling and identification equipment - The Dahlgren Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center is seeking sources which can provide equipment and/or technologies to perform detection, sampling and identification of airborne bacteria, viruses and toxins in support of the Joint Program Office for Biological Defense (JPO-BD) and all services. The requested information will be used to determine if the equipment and/or technologies are suitable for testing by the Government in Joint Field Trials (JFTs). The JFTs are open-air tests where the detection equipment and technologies are challenged with biological agent simulant aerosols and performance is assessed against service technical and operational requirements. JFTs are currently scheduled for September 1995 and April 1996 at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah. Technical, performance, cost and/or test data will be considered if provided.
