Biochemistry Section within the Dept. of Clinical Investigation, Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii has a requirement for a brand name or equal to Packard Instrument Company, (1) ea MultiPROBE 101 Automated Liquid Handling System, (1) 486 SX computer system and (1) dot matrix printer required to set up radioimmunoassay for the determination of urine and plasma vasopressin (hormone) in patient and research specimens. The system shall have the flexibility to program various test tube combinations, volumes and assay rack configurations for the various types of hormones to be measured. The system shall be computer controlled and produce consistent, reproducible, high quality results, and produce high throughput sampling processing, at least 300 samples per hour, and have liquid level sensing ability to sense volumes of less than 100 microliter. The system shall be compatible with current govt-owned IEC centrifuge and Packard Cobra II Gamma Counter CD 5010. The Government anticipates to award a firm fixed-price contract. Delivery shall be FOB destination, Accountable Officer P2-300, Materiel Branch, Bldg 161, Tripler AMC, HI 96859-5000.
