COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MAY 22,1995 PSA#13511995 NATIONAL INFRARED INFORMATION SYMPOSIUM The 1995 National Infrared
Information Symposium will be held 11-13 July 1995 at the Applied
Physics Laboratory, The Johns Hopkins University, Laurel, MD. The
symposium serves as the forum for a broad range of discussions within
the management and technical echelons of the defense community directed
to the advancement of electro-optic technology and systems for national
defense. It also provides historical perspectives, reviews ongoing
technology and system activities, and projects future threats,
requirements, technology, and capabilities. Of particular emphasis are
such management level issues as projections of future requirements,
DoD priorities, acquisition trends and strategies, and standardization
issues. In addition, critical technology, policy and operational
issues are highlighted as appropriate. The sessions scheduled are:
Keynote Addresses; Military & Civilian Applications; Seekers; ACTD;
Army Systems; ARPA; Joint Strike; Threat Warning/IRCM; Missile Defense;
and the IRIS Specialty Group Reports. The meeting is Classified,
restricted to DoD Contractors and/or DoD Government personnel who are
U.S. Citizens. The meeting is administered by the Infrared Information
Analysis Center located at the Environmental Research Institute of
