70 -- DATA MIGRATION SOFTWARE POC Contact: Technical Representative Phil Cykana (703)681-2506 or Contracting Officer Mark Bogart (703) 607-6920 The Defense Information Systems Agency has a Request for Information on commercially available data migration software capable of: moving any data structure or format - whether a database management system, file format, or data exchange language to another format regardless of platform; converting data from one host environment to another host environment; converting one database schema to another, one file structure to another, or one access method to another; employing compression techniques to reduce volume of data transmitted/converted; supporting multimedia conversion; providing integrity and data quality checking. All responsible sources may submit an information packet addressing the capabilities of their data migration software. Information that is proprietary should be so labeled. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with applicable Government regulations. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will result from the submission of vendor information and the Government's use of that information. This Request for Information shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the government for any follow- on acquisition. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI.
