J -- MAINTENANCE OF FINNIGAN/MAT EQUIPMENT SOL DAAD05-95-R-0814 DUE 052695 POC Contract Specialist Kevin Clark (410) 278-4003 (Site Code DAAD05) The U.S. Army Edgewood Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ERDEC) of the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) has a requirement for maintenance services on the following Finnigan/MAT Chromatograph Systems: 1) Model TSQ-7000, 2 Each; 2) Model 5100, 1 Each; 3) Model ITS-40, 1 Each; 4) Model TSQ-45, 1 Each. Period of performance shall be for one base year with four one-year options. This announcement is intended to solely negotiate with the equipment manufacturer Finnigan/MAT, 8 Bridge Street, St. Metuchen, NJ 08840-2274. The Finnigan/MAT maintenance staff have the proprietary software, hardware, and technical information of each system. Use of a third party vendor would result in unecessary delays to the Government caused by insufficient training especially on the newly introduced TSQ-7000 Systems. Only Finnigan/MAT service personnel has direct access to the engineers that designed the TSQ-7000 Systems, currently the hardware and software is not available to any outside sources.
