The Egyptian Antiquities Project (EAP) of the American Research Center in Egypt, Inc (ARCE) under its USAID Grant No. 263-0000-G-00-3089-00 is soliciting priced proposals from qualified, experienced professional organizations & individuals to provide & manage a technical assistance team (personnel and equipment) to document archaeological sites in collaboration with the North Sinai Salvage excavations of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) and to carry out other on-site needs assessments and prepare recommendations for possible future action. Proposals will be competitively evaluated. It is expected that a well-organized professional team would be formed consisting of a team leader/archaeologist with specialists: surveyor, architect, illustrator, photographer, ceramic analyst, document manager, etc. to supplement the resources of the SCA to record/document at least seven archaeological sites in North Sinai. Monthly progress reports required. Final site reports, drawings, illustrations and photographs shall be to publication quality standard. These multi-historic period archaeological sites are in the route or in associated areas of a major potable water canal currently under construction. Review and award of contract may take up to two months. Approximately four additional months are estimated for approval by government authorities before the work can commence.
