In general, work will consist of installing one free standing underslung bridge crane in Facility 3055 with a capacity of not less than 2000 lbs ( 1 ton). The cranes structural members outer most dimensions will be 46 ft X 50 ft, and head room under the crane hook in the fully raised position will be maximized, but will not be less than 10 ft. There will be no structural member of the crane less than 10 ft above the finished floor other than vertical support members. It is desired to have vertical structural members at the four corner locations only. Designs incorporating additional members will require locations to be approved by the contracting officer and will be considered as a last alternative. The crane will have 2 speed motors to drive the bridge, trolley and hoist. There will be a pendent type control console, rail mounted with the ability to be manually shifted the full length of the bridge with minimal effort. The control console will operate the bridge drive motor, trolley drive motor, hoist motor, have a on/off power switch and have an emergency stop switch. Estimated range is between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small or small disadvantaged business.
