R -- PIPELINE LIQUID NITROGEN POC For copy, PKX, Fax Number (210)925-6004, For additional information contact Cook, T./sfk/210-925-7248 99 -- Pipeline Liquid Nitrogen to NASA Langley Research Center, National Transonic Facility The San Antonio Air Logistics Center is seeking additional sources for supply of Propellant Liquid Nitrogen, Type II Grade B, NSN 9135-01-333-3655 via pipeline to the National Transonic Facility (NTF) at NASA Langley Research Center. The air separation plant and pipeline connecting to the NTF must be contractor owned and operated. Product must be supplied via pipeline for logistical reasons and to ensure uninterrupted flows during tests. This will be a requirements contract with a three year basic period and two one-year options. BEQ is 183,000 tons for the basic period, and 8,000 tons for each of the option years. The normal flow rate into the NASA storage vessels is 50 tons per hour. The maximum (peak) flow is 1000 tons per day, or 4500 tons per 5 day workweek, or 7000 tons per two consecutive workweeks.
