R -- HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION. The Republic of the Marshall Islands requests proposals from American health care management organizations to administer the Section 177 Health Care Program, providing medical services for the four communities in the Marshall Islands directly affected by the 1946-1958 U.S. Nuclear Testing Program. The health care program was established by the U.S. Government in 1983 to provide an integrated comprehensive health care program encompassing primary, secondary, and tertiary care. The two-year management contract will take effect October 1, 1995.
