Vendors that can provide hardware and software with similar functionality to Fore Systems hardware and software must submit their proposals for consideration within fifteen (15) days of issuance of this synopsis. If a vendor desires to respond to this synopsis, he must reference MDA908-95-R-0063, submit documentation which demonstrates the firm's ability to meet the Government's requirement and that it is advantageous to the Government to consider such other sources. No contract award will be made on the basis of offers or any other information received in response to this notice because this synopsis of intent to place an order will not be considered a solicitation document. If no affirmative written documentation, technical specifications and pricing are received within fifteen (15) days of this synopsis, to the effect that a comparable source is available or that it is more advantageous to the Government than purchasing the Fore Systems Hardware and Software, an order will be placed with Fore Systems; 6500 Rock Spring Drive; Bethesda, MD.
