59 -- AN/SQQ-89(V) ANTI-SUBMARINE WARFARE COMBAT SYSTEM SOL N00024-96-R-6300 DUE 072895 POC (02632), Contracting Officer, Teresa Ryan, (703) 602-0951. The Naval Sea Systems Command plans to conduct a limited competition for the AN/SQQ-89(V) Anti-Submarine Warfare Combat System FY96 production requirements, with single year options for the FY97/98/99/00. Under this contract, limited Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) items will be considered for incorporation into the AN/SQQ-89(V). This solicitation is issued in conjunction with solicitation N00024-96-R-6301, which provides for FY96-FY00 AN/SQQ-89(V) System Engineering and Design Agent support. The successful offeror will receive a fixed price type contract for the AN/SQQ-89(V) production requirements and a cost type contract for the system engineering and design agent efforts. Competition will be limited, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), to the two qualified producers of the AN/SQQ-89(V): Westinghouse Electric Corporation and Lockheed Martin Corporation.
