NASA Johnson Space Center has a requirement for the testing of
replacement materials candidates (AFLAS and fluerel) prior to their
incorporation in the Orbiter Fuel Cell. --The anticipated period of
performance is 90 days. --See numbered Note 22. --The only known
contractor with the specific testing capabilities is Internation Fuel
Cells of Windsor Locks, Conn. IFC developed the X-708 fuel cell
powerplant, implemented a hardware improvement program for the upgraded
powerplant and provided technical support to Johnson Space Center
