This work includes removal of approximately 3,265 square yards of asphaltic concrete that has been surfaced with a playing court surfacing material, scarifying the existing base material, adding additional limerock base, grading and compacting the base material, priming the base material and paving with a one inch thick asphaltic concrete. Work will also include laying ot three basketball courts and painting the new court markings. Contractor shall provide and install six basketball goals complete with poles, backboard, nets, etc. The estimated cost of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. Bid opening is scheduled for 2:00 pm on 07/11/95. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 06/07/95. Contract duration is 60 calendar days. The procurement listed herein is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible but not later than 15 days, indicte interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting office listed above evidence of capability to perform, including performance and credit references, former contracts of similar size and complexity, bonding capability and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. Even if you have sent evidence of SDB eligibility on a prior contract, you must submit documentation that will become a part of this solicitation file. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice.
