SWORDFISH AND YELLOFIN TUNA TRACKING IN THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS. PERIOD OF
PERFORMANCE - 15 days commencing on or about August 6, 1995. This NOAA
charter in support of the National Marine Fisheries Serice shall begin
and end in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Vessel shall be between 50 - 65 feet
(12.2 - 19.8 m) in length and have sufficient counter-top work space
within the cabin to house a PC and periferals of similar dimension.

3. The vessel shall have the capability to conduct palu ahi and ika
shibi handline fishing operations anywhere in a radius of 200 nautical
miles (370.9km) of the main Hawaiian Islands. The vessel must have a
cruising speed of at least 8 knots (14.8 km/hr) and endurance of 15
days ( 2 days at 8 knots (14.8 km/hr) plus 13 days tracking or fishing
at speeds averaging 3 knots (5.55 km/hr). Vessel must have ability to
track swordfish and tuna tagged with sonic transmitters, under the
direction of scientists on board. Charter vessel will work closely with
NOAA vessel conducting longlining and oceanographic observations. All
