Center, FL 32815. Lockheed Space Operations Company (LSOC), a NASA
Prime Contractor at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), FL, seeks sources
capable of providing the following requirements: fabrication, assembly,
cleaning, painting, testing, and delivery to KSC of two (2)
trailer-mounted 400 KW diesel engine-driven generator sets. System
voltage will be 480 volts alternating current, three phase, four (4)
wire, sixty (60) Hertz. The generator set shall include inherent
overcurrent, short circuit and overlad protection, digital metering
equipment, sensor failure detection and remote monitoring and control
capability. The engine shall be diesel driven, radiator and fan cooled.
The generator shall have a micro-processor-based control system with a
digital display of all alarm and shutdown conditions. The engine
generator set shall be mounted on a heavy duty steel base and mounted
on a trailer capable of being loaded on a C-141 aircraft. The fuel tank
shall have a 12-hour run time at 3/4 load. The anticipated period of
performance will be 140 days after award. Each task associated with
this project shall be in accordance with the engineering specifications
and standards to be included in the solicitation and resulting
subcontract. It shall be the responsibility of the successful offeror
to provide all necessary supervision, labor, tools, facilities,
supplies, equipment and security required for successful completion of
this project. A property management system adequate for protection of
Government property is required. Interested firms should submit, in
duplicate, a statement of capabilities in sufficient detail to
establish its bona fide capability to meet the technical requirements
set forth herein. Requirements are experience and expertise in
precision fabrication, welding, electrical power and controls
installation, and electronic controls systems. This synopsis does not
obligate LSOC to make award nor to reimburse any costs incurred in
responding to this synopsis. The issuance of a solicitation is
contingent upon availability of funding. Data should be submitted to
