DuBose, Contract Specialist, 301/415- 6578 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission intends to enter into a sole source contract entitled ''Pressurized Water Reactor Nuclear Engineering Course'' with Westinghouse Electric Corporation to provide training to NRC employees. The system to be utilized in this acquisition is the Westinghouse pressurized water reactor (PWR) utilizing Westinghouse supplied fuel. The contractor shall provide qualified personnel and materials and services necessary to develop, present (classroom instruction) and maintain the course which will emphasize core physics, fuel design (present and prototype), thermal hydraulics, the latest NSSS computer software, and present core operating strategies that will help facilitate inspection of pressurized water reactor licensees. This information is proprietary to Westinghouse, and as such, Westinghouse is the only vendor capable of supplying a course to meet the needs of the NRC. The period of performance for this effort is five years. This is not a Request for Proposals. No solicitation will be issued. (0124)
