The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to negotiate sole source services with Bobst Group, Inc., 146 Harrison Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068, to provide services to upgrade BEP-owned S-2000 Bobst Registration Equipment. This system will be used as the registration system for Press 601 (7-color Androiotti rotogravure). The services to be provided are: inspection, cleaning, modification and installation of the following existing Bobst equipment: 1) registration master control assembly; 2) scanner amplifiers; and 3) fiber optic scanner cables. Additionally, the following new equipment will be required: 1) One power control cabinet assembly including a rack and transformer wired for future control of lateral register; 2) One encoder for cylinder reference; 3) Six elongated motors; 4) Six scanner bars; and 5) One tachometer. Bobst Group, Inc. holds all proprietary manufacturing information related to the register control system. Any responses to this notice must be received within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice providing sufficient information relative to performing the services required. All firms that respond to this notice shall include in their written response the company's size status (i.e., Large, Small, Minority, or Women-owned).
