COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MAY 8,1995 PSA#1341The Library of Congress, Contracts and Logistics Service, 1701
Brightseat Road, Landover, MD 20785 66 -- INSTRUMENTS AND LABORATORY EQUIPMENT SOL IN95-18 POC Ruth R.
Nelson, Contracting Officer, (202) 707-8610. The Library of Congress
intends to negotiate with Lab Connections, Inc., Marlborough, MA, for
''LC-Transform'', an interface system for existing HPLC and FTIR
systems. This system is designed to collect liquid effluent from HPLC
or GPC on a rotating disk and dry off the solvent quickly enough to
leave the solid residue fixed along a discrete and well-defined
concentric track. The disk with the analyte deposit is then held in an
LC-Transform sample holder mounted within the FTIR sample compartment.
The sequentially deposited solid residue is then analyzed in a
sequential manner such that specific spectra of separated chemical
components can be related exactly to the elution timeline. Requirements
are for an LC-1014 LC-Transform Model 102, an LC-3011 Pre-aligned
mounting plate for optics module, an LC-4018 Solvent exhaust cartridge
for removal of organic vapors, and an LC-5012 set of 6 germanium
sample collection discs in a storage box and 6 individual disc storage
containers, installation and 1 year manufacturer's warranty. NO
SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. No contract award will be made on
the basis of an offer/proposal received in response to this notice.
Interested parties that can provide ALL equipment, installation, and
warranty shall submit a proposal to the Contracting Officer no later
than 15 calendar days from the date of this announcement. The response
must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bonfide
capability to meet the requirements. It is requested that pricing data
information be included as part of the response including terms and
conditions. SEE Note 22. (0124) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0233 19950505\66-0006.SOL)
